Marine Applications

1200gsm Biaxial Fibreglass Fabric is purpose-built for high-load structural work including full transom rebuilds, stringer replacement, keel repair, hull structural repairs following impact or osmosis damage, heavy sandwich panel skins, and deck reinforcement under high-load fittings. For transom rebuilds in particular, alternate with CSM interleaving layers — as a result you’ll build a stiff, well-bonded laminate efficiently and in fewer total plies.

Processing Note

Apply resin to the substrate first, lay the cloth, then work resin through from the top and consolidate with a ribbed roller. Because this is a heavy fabric, rushing wet-out is the most common cause of dry spots and laminate failure.
