Carbon Fibre Pultruded Tube – 6 mm × 4 mm × 1000 mm

Pultruded Carbon Fibre Tube for Axial Load Applications

The Carbon Fibre Pultruded Tube 6 mm × 4 mm × 1000 mm delivers high stiffness and low weight for applications that rely on straight-line load paths. The pultrusion process aligns all carbon fibres along the tube axis. As a result, the tube performs exceptionally well in tension and compression while maintaining tight dimensional consistency along its full length.

With a 6 mm outer diameter and 4 mm inner diameter, this tube provides an efficient wall thickness that balances rigidity and weight. At the same time, it suits compact assemblies where precision and repeatability matter.

Performance Characteristics

Because the fibres run continuously in the 0° direction, this pultruded tube excels under axial loading. Therefore, it suits:

• Tension and compression members

• Lightweight structural supports

• Precision-aligned components

However, this construction does not handle torsional or side loads effectively. For twisting or multi-directional forces, designers should select a roll-wrapped tube instead.

Processing & Bonding

This 6 mm × 4 mm pultruded tube cuts cleanly using fine-tooth saws, rotary tools, or CNC machining. Because the epoxy matrix supports strong adhesion, builders achieve reliable bonds with epoxy adhesives and laminating resins. Consequently, the tube integrates easily into bonded joints, fixtures, and composite assemblies.

After cutting or drilling, sealing exposed fibres helps protect the laminate and improves long-term durability.

Typical Applications

Because of its axial stiffness and predictable behaviour, this tube is commonly used in:

• Drone and UAV structures (non-motor arms, internal frames)

• Aerospace and light aviation components

• Wind energy instrumentation and sensor mounts

• Marine and boating structures dominated by straight-line loads

• Robotics and automation linkages

• Construction and industrial fixtures requiring lightweight rigidity

These industries value pultruded tubing for consistency and repeatable performance.

Technical Specifications

The unidirectional fibre layout maximises axial performance while keeping overall weight low.

Why Choose Enhanced Composites

Enhanced Composites supplies precision pultruded carbon fibre tubing for engineers and builders who require consistent sizing, reliable stiffness, and predictable mechanical performance. In addition, our team inspects every tube for dimensional accuracy and surface quality before dispatch. Because of this focus, each tube performs exactly as expected in structural and technical applications.

FAQs

Is this tube suitable for torsional loading?
No. Pultruded tubes optimise axial loads and do not handle torsion effectively. For twisting loads, designers should use roll-wrapped tubing.

Can this tube be bonded into composite structures?
Yes. Builders can bond the tube using epoxy adhesives and laminating resins after proper surface preparation.
