A braided carbon fiber sleeve is a versatile and high-performance material commonly used in various industries, including aerospace, automotive, marine, and sporting goods. It is made by weaving carbon fiber strands into a tight, flexible sleeve, which can then be applied to a wide range of substrates, such as pipes, rods, cables, or wires. The braided structure of the sleeve enhances its strength and durability while maintaining a lightweight profile, making it an ideal choice for applications where both strength and flexibility are required.
Enhanced Composites Braided Carbon Fibre Sleeve is a biaxial braid of precisely oriented fibres of maximum stiffness, torsional stability and compressive strength. The sleeve has a 45 degree orientation and will compress about 20-25% and tension about 60-65% from their base diameter. A biaxial braided sleeve easily and repeatedly expands open to fit over moulding tools or cores. They can accommodate straight, uniform cross-section forms as well as non-linear, irregular cross section components.
This 25mm carbon fibre sleeve can be expanded by up to 30%.
A braided carbon fiber sleeve is a highly durable and lightweight solution for reinforcing and protecting various components across multiple industries. Its woven structure provides exceptional strength, flexibility, and resistance to abrasion and high temperatures. Whether used in aerospace, automotive, or sporting goods, braided carbon fiber sleeves enhance the performance and longevity of parts, making them a crucial material for high-performance applications. For more other information, click here.
