Plain Weave Carbon Fibre 1k 90gsm / 2.65 OZ – 1m width

For lightweight aerodynamic parts, this 90gsm plain weave carbon fiber features a 1k tow (1000 fillaments per fiber) and is a commonly selected fabric style, delivering uniform strength in both horizontal and vertical directions.The plain weave fabric is not only a good looking cosmetic fabric but also serves very well as structural support for specialist applications such as aerospace, radio controlled models (particularly planes and helicopters), UAVs and similar.

Along with the 2×2 twill, it is one of the most common carbon fibre materials in the world.

Tips

• Ideal for lightweight parts used in aerospace applications. Perfect for backing structures
• To maximize strength properties, use with an epoxy, like our Apro for structural and cosmetic, or Ampreg 31 for structural applications
• For added conformability, lay up the fabric at a 45-degree bias inside molds
