Plain Weave Carbon Fibre 3k 165gsm / 5OZ – 1m width

For lightweight aerodynamic parts, this plain weave carbon fiber features a 3k tow (3000 fillaments per fiber) and is a commonly selected fabric style, delivering uniform strength in both horizontal and vertical directions.The plain weave fabric is not only a good looking cosmetic fabric but also serves very well as structural support for composite structures and designs.

Along with the 2×2 twill, it is one of the most common carbon fibre materials in the world.

Tips

• Ideal for lightweight parts used in aerospace applications.
• To maximize strength properties, use with an epoxy, like our Apro for structural and cosmetic, or Ampreg 31 for structural applications
• For added conformability, lay up the fabric at a 45-degree bias inside molds
