T700 Plain Carbon Fibre 420/600gsm 12K – 1.27 m width

The plain weave heavyweight fabric gives the traditional carbon fibre look and offers great strength and stiffness. The heavier weight carbon fibre cloth can be used to more quickly make up thicker laminates and offers significant cost savings compared with more layers of a lighter cloth. T700 is considered significantly stronger with a higher tensile strength than T300, meaning it can withstand more pulling force before breaking, making it ideal for applications requiring high strength

Ideal for use as a backing layer when making larger carbon fibre parts or when building up a thicker laminate. It can also be used as the surface layer on cosmetic parts where a larger weave pattern is desirable. Care will need to be taken to ensure that the greater texture of this heavy weight carbon fibre cloth does not ‘print through’ making the surface of the part uneven. .
