2×2 Twill Carbon Fibre 600gsm 12K – 1m/1.5m width

The 2×2 twill weave heavyweight fabric gives the traditional carbon fibre look and offers great strength and stiffness. The heavier weight carbon fibre cloth can be used to more quickly make up thicker laminates and offers significant cost savings compared with more layers of a lighter cloth.

Ideal for use as a backing layer when making larger carbon fibre parts or when building up a thicker laminate. It can also be used as the surface layer on cosmetic parts where a larger weave pattern is desirable. Care will need to be taken to ensure that the greater texture of this heavy weight carbon fibre cloth does not ‘print through’ making the surface of the part uneven. .

2×2 twill 12K carbon fibre material is easy to manipulate and can be used in application such as aerospace, marine, auto and sporting goods.
