High quality 30gsm glass surface tissue. Often used as a print blocker for hand layup fibreglass or used on the ‘open face’ side of the laminate to leave a smoother, tidier finish on the inside of fibreglass layups.
This super-fine surface tissue can be used as the first layer of reinforcement onto a gel coat as a ‘print blocker’ to prevent print-through of the heavier chopped strand mat reinforcement. The tissue can also be used to leave a smoother more attractive surface finish on hand-layup composite parts by using it as the final layer on the reinforcement.
Surface tissue is used in the inner corrosion barrier to form a resin-rich layer, and also in the exterior layer to provide resin-richness for additional weathering protection. Great for intricate work and as first layer in the mould.
The emulsion binder is designed to be soluble in polyester and vinylester resin but given the very light weight of the cloth, this tissue can also be used, with epoxy resin when necessary.
